Palette Building Blocks

Basic, but never boring — building blocks of varying shapes and shades, made to please the eye as much as the hand.

The bright colors scatter like glass in a kaleidoscope, with as many non-repeating shades as could be worked in. It's a wonderful choice as a first building block set for small children, offering far more visual interest than plain cubes.

This set teaches abstract thinking. With it, a child can compose beautiful arrangements in the style of abstractionists like Rothko, Kandinsky, or Mondrian. There's no pressure to build a castle or a palace — it simply gives maximum space for imagination, which is what sets it apart from many other building sets. These blocks make clear that the process matters just as much as the result, and that something new and unlike anything seen before can — and should — be created.

It looks wonderful displayed in a playroom. The bottom of the tray is engraved with the shape of each piece, making it easy to put everything back in place after play.

Production:
Carefully handcrafted from ethically sourced solid wood, bringing out the quiet beauty of its grain and natural character.
