Ostheimer Horse for Rider

One of the oldest figures in the Ostheimer range — the riding horse with its distinctive hand-painted red bridle was originally designed by Walter Ostheimer himself, inspired by his fairy-tale illustrations. At 15 cm long and 11.5 cm tall it is among the larger horses, built to carry a rider. Made from ash.

Hand-carved and hand-painted in Germany since 1976, each Ostheimer figure is shaped from sustainably sourced wood and finished with non-toxic, plant-based watercolours. No two pieces are identical.
