Donguri Hinoki Ramp Walker – Acorn Cypress (5 Colors)

Acorn Cypress is crafted from Japanese cypress sourced from Saitama Prefecture, made with an eye toward supporting a more sustainable society.

Designed with the hope of introducing children to nature through play, the toy's colors draw from traditional, calm Japanese hues inspired by flowers and grasses. Like the rest of the Donguri family, it's a charming wooden toy topped with an acorn hat, made to "walk" gently down a slope. Almost any board-like surface works as a ramp — a tray, a picture book, or anything flat and slanted will do.

From around age 2, children can place it on a slope and play independently. Its movement is slow and gentle enough that even a baby's eyes can follow along — so with an adult demonstrating the motion, babies still at the crawling stage can enjoy watching it too.

As it descends, the acorn makes a soft, soothing wooden sound — its distinctive movement and gentle noise make this a toy that delights not just children, but adults as well.
